Statement on
Conducting Business Electronically
UC and UCEAP use electronic means whenever possible to reduce their carbon footprint and expedite business transactions. By continuing to use the UCEAP website and online application you are agreeing to conduct business electronically, including having communications provided or made available to you in electronic form, and entering into agreements and transactions using electronic records and signatures.
Authorized Use
Under UC Policy BFB-IS-11, Identity and Access Management, you must ensure that access to your account is restricted to your own use and must take reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized use.
Hardware and Software
You should ensure that you are capable of receiving and retaining communications and records electronically. In order to conduct business electronically with UC and UCEAP, you must have access to an electronic device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a supporting operating system that can connect to the internet and that has sufficient electronic storage capacity to be able to save documents for your personal records. You must also have an up-to-date internet browser and PDF viewer, e-mail software, and a printer capable of printing from an internet browser.
Changes to Contact Information
You agree to keep your contact information in your account up-to-date and to hold UC and UCEAP harmless regarding any communications or documents sent to an incorrect e-mail or mailing address due to your failure to maintain up-to-date contact information in your account.
